Fees

AYA is not part of the NHS, and therefore we are not publicly funded. This means we are reliant on fundraising and client fees.

We believe counselling should be affordable, that’s why we offer a sliding scale for both individual and relationship counselling.

Individual Counselling Fees

Sliding fees scale for couples ranging from £8 per session to £45 per session depending on your affordability status.

✧ £8, £10 or £15 – for persons receiving benefits/not employed
✧ £20, £25 or £30 – part-time employment, and/or low-waged
✧ £35, £40 or £45 – for individuals in full-time employment

How do Fees work?

✧ You will discuss and agree the fee you wish to pay during your Initial Assessment
✧ You will be required to pay on a weekly basis.

How do I pay?

Paying by bank transfer
✧ You will typically pay for your counselling sessions via BACS Transfer (online banking).

✧ Please remember to include your unique client number as the reference when making a bank transfer.

✧ You may choose to set up a standing order for your regular payments.

Paying by cash
If preferred, you can pay for your sessions using cash which you will give directly to your counsellor every week.

Please note that we are not able to accept card payments, and we are no longer able to accept cheques. We cannot process cash payment for clients accessing counselling online.

Important
Please note that you will still be required to pay 50% of your counselling session fee if you miss a session, and 100% of your fee if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice. This is not intended to cause financial hardship.
